Happy National Beer Day

According to a 2017 Gallup Poll, beer is the most popular alcoholic beverage in The United States, so it’s no surprise that we have a day dedicated it. The unofficial holiday falls on April 7th and marks the day that beer was legally allowed to be manufactured and sold in the US after Prohibition.

If it wasn’t for President Franklin Roosevelt signing an act to move away from Prohibition, we may not have the beer inspired country songs we have today.

Here are my top ten favorite country songs all about beer:

10. It All Started with a Beer: Frankie Ballard

9. Cold One: Eric Church

8. Alcohol: Brad Paisley

7. Beer Money: Kip Moore

6. Beer with Jesus: Thomas Rhett

5. Drink A Beer: Luke Bryan

4. Pretty Good At Drinkin’ Beer: Billy Currington

3. Beer in the Headlights: Luke Bryan

2. Beer in Mexico: Kenny Chesney

1. Red Solo Cup: Toby Keith

These are the perfect songs to listen while enjoying a couple cold ones. Now whether you’re drinking alone, or out with friends tonight, be sure you don’t suffer from cenosillicaphobia (fear of an empty beer glass) today of all days.

What are your favorite drinking songs?
