Concert Review: Huntin’ Fishin’ & Lovin’ Every Day Tour

After seeing Luke Bryan on his Huntin’ Fishin’ & Lovin’ Every Day tour, it makes perfect sense why the 40 year old country singer has won the Entertainer of the Year award as many times as he has.

Our favorite country boy in tight blue jeans kicked off his tour in Nashville, TN almost two months ago and I’m excited to say Massachusetts was on Bryan’s list of stops.

With the same name as his RIAA platinum song, Huntin’ Fishin’ & Lovin’ Every Day, Bryan’s tour was completely sold out in Mansfield, MA and it’s no surprise why. With openers Lauren Alaina and Brett Eldredge, the show was destined to be incredible from start to finish.

Alaina kicked the show off and introduced a few songs from her latest album Road Less Traveled such as, “Queen of Hearts”, “Three” and of course “Road Less Traveled”. Alaina also sang another new one titled “Doin’ Fine” which was inspired by her parent’s divorce. Alaina said she hopes this particular single will be out on country radio soon.

Eldredge took over next and did something he’s (really, really) good at: perform his heart out. The “Lose My Mind” singer brought energy as he ran around the stage performing songs like “Don’t Ya” and “Somethin’ I’m Good At” but also gave the crowd some incredible feels with love songs “Wanna Be That Song” and “Mean to Me”. Only let down was Eldredge’s adorable pup and sidekick Edgar not making a surprise appearance on stage.

I mean c’mon, who wouldn’t want to see that face run around with Eldredge all over stage?! (Also Edgar has his own Instagram account that I recommend you all follow.)

After Eldredge left the stage and the Massachusetts sun began to set, the lights suddenly turned down and the crowd erupted before the main act even arrived on stage.

And every girl was like

And he did not disappoint with his performance or his hip shaking abilities.

Bryan kicked off his set with “Move” which got everyone from the pit to the lawn moving and grooving to the beat. The concert became a giant dance party as Bryan sang other high energy songs like “That’s My Kinda Night” and “Rain Is A Good Thing”.

About half way through Bryan took a minute to thank our service men and women, police officers, firefighters and teachers to which the crowd erupted with cheers. He also took a some time to slow it down to perform an acoustic “Drink a Beer” where the venue lit up with cellphone lights turning the crowd into a sea of fireflies in front of Bryan.

The concert went well into the night with Bryan singing other fan favorites like “I Don’t Want This Night To End” and “Country Girl (Shake It For Me)”, both from his Tailgates & Tanlines album.

Overall the concert was rowdy and entertaining from start to finish, typical for a Luke Bryan show. Although it was clear Bryan was missed at his usual MA venue, Gillette Stadium, Byran had no problem getting right at home at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield.

If you don’t have tickets yet, I encourage you all to go and see Bryan, Eldredge and Alaina out on the road this summer at some point before Bryan wraps up this tour in October. However if you want a fun get away, Bryan is heading back to Mexico for his yearly four day Crash My Playa country vacation in January.

Thanks Luke for a night that none of us wanted to end, and of course, for those tight blue jeans.
